Welcome to Bhaskerville Great Danes located in Portland, Oregon! I am passionate to learn and share information about our beloved breed. A Great Dane puppy can be a wonderful family addition. I’m Shanda Bhasker and I share my home with my wonderful husband and our 3 Great Danes, our senior Great Dane CH Davishire’s Remy Is Cooking Up a Storm (Remy), our very successful and fun loving GCHB Paxton’s Live Long and Prosper BCAT RATN (Zefram) and Zefram’s young daughter, Daynakin’s Let Your Heart Be Open (Fallon). Zefram not only has wonderful structure and beautiful movement, he also has an exceptional temperament that has been commented on by performance trainers as well as conformation handlers and exhibitors.

I started showing my dogs as a fun hobby and found great friends and tons of information about Great Danes, their health and training. People who show are passionate about their dogs, many involved with rescue. If you want a pet Great Dane puppy who has a great start in life, I strongly suggest acquiring a pet puppy from a breeder who at least health tests, and preferably shows, not because you want a show dog, but because you want a beloved family pet that has been bred with care and careful consideration to bringing healthy Great Dane puppies into the world. Puppies that have good temperaments and look like the Great Dane is supposed to.

Fallon is from Zefram’s first litter, a lovely litter of 6 Fawn and Brindle Great Dane puppies, bred by Georgia Hymmen of Daynakin Great Danes from her beautiful bitch Eva, whom I have loved since she was a puppy. Three of Eva & Zefram’s puppies are currently showing. All are pointed from the puppy classes. His beautiful brindle daughter, at 11 months, was WB at the Arizona Specialty in early 2024 for a 5 pt major. Fallon has placed Best of Breed over Specials. We love their structure and sweet loving souls. Zefram was bred a second time to a very very pretty well structured fawn bitch, Siggy, bred By Georgia Hymmen (and others). All the puppies will be fawn and they are due mid-April 2024.

Looking for a
Great Dane breeder . . .
When looking for a Great Dane puppy look for a responsible breeder that health tests the parents BEFORE breeding. There are four recommended Health Tests for Great Danes: Hips, Echo Heart, Eyes & Thyroid. When a Dane has completed all those tests and the results are reported to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA) the parent dogs are issued a CHIC number. CHIC stands for Canine Health Information Center.
